Meet Our Professional Advisers

Academic Support Team: Adviser + Faculty Mentor

At UWRF, every new student is assigned both a professional adviser and a faculty mentor.

  • From 0–60 credits, your adviser is your main point of contact.
  • After 60 credits (or when it makes sense for you), your faculty mentor becomes your primary guide.
  • You can reach out to both anytime throughout your UWRF journey!

Note: In programs without professional advisers, your faculty member will serve as both adviser and mentor.

So, what's the difference?

  • Course selection and degree planning.
  • Registration and scheduling help.
  • Declaring majors/minors and tracking progress.
  • Connecting to campus resources (tutoring, wellness, career services).
  • Advice on major-specific courses.
  • Insight into research, internships and grad school.
  • Career guidance and networking in your discipline.
  • Support with academic challenges in your major.

Academic Success Planning

Your adviser may suggest this tool for setting goals and implementing a plan to stay (or get) on track.

Academic Success Plans are required for students on academic probation or that have successfully appealed their academic or financial aid suspension. The Academic Success Plans must be completed before the end of the second week of the semester.

Who is my adviser?

Find your major or program on the list and connect with your designated adviser. Their contact information is available below.
