Tutoring Services
UWRF Tutoring Services, located in the Student Success Center, provides free academic support to help you excel in your coursework. Whether you need assistance with challenging subjects, study strategies or time management, our trained peer tutors are here to guide you! Schedule an appointment today!

Tutoring Options and Subjects
Tutoring Services offers tutoring in tutoring centers and individual appointment-based tutors. The Student Success Center will make every effort to accommodate all students, however, we cannot guarantee a tutor for every subject or all scheduling needs.
Become a Tutor
Appointment-Based Tutor
- Must have a final grade of at least a B to qualify to tutor a course.
- Must have an overall GPA of 2.67.
Study Center Tutor
- Must have a final grade of at least a B to qualify to tutor a course.
- Must have an overall GPA of 2.67.
- Have a recommendation from a faculty member in that department
- You should talk with the faculty member of your choice before applying.
- If you would like to be a tutor for multiple subjects, you will need one recommendation per department.
- Example: If you would like to be a tutor for CHEM 111 and HIST 101 you will need one recommendation from a chemistry professor member and one recommendation from a history professor.

NOTE: The ESL, Writing and Math centers have their own hiring and training process, which may require additional coursework. Please contact the faculty advisers of these centers with inquiries.
Tutoring Center Manager (Not Currently Hiring)
- If you are interested in applying for a manager position and you are not already employed as an individual or study center tutor, please submit an application, recommendations and send your resume to tutoring@uwrf.edu.
- If you are already employed as a tutor, please email your resume to tutoring@uwrf.edu and please state which tutoring center manager position you are applying for.

How to schedule a tutoring appointment using TracCloud.
- These instructions are for scheduling a one-on-one appointment with a tutor. You may also visit one of the Tutoring Centers if the subject you need help with is covered in those centers (Math, Chemistry, Physics, Writing).
- Tutoring Services is not able to provide tutors for every course.
- You will have the option to meet with your tutor in person or virtually. When you are scheduling your appointment in TracCloud you will have the option to choose which type of appointment you prefer. If you wish to meet with your tutor virtually there will be a link in your appointment notes for you to use to connect to the tutoring session.

Tutoring is funded by Falcon Promise dollars. This funding is to be used to hire tutors for key general education courses. Because of this, we may not always be able to provide a tutor for your course. If you can't find a tutor for your course, please email tutoring@uwrf.edu.

Information for Faculty
Interested students should submit a tutoring application.
After a student submits an application, the faculty member they list will receive a request to submit a recommendation.
Tutors are hired based on faculty recommendations, academic records, interviews, and the needs of Tutoring Services. Tutors are paid through Falcon Promise dollars. Falcon Promise provides funding for tutors for key general education courses.

For help with Math courses or courses that use math concepts visit the Math Help Center.
Math 10 and Math 30 students have two options for tutoring. You may visit the Math Help Center and/or attend the Math Mastery Study Group on Tue/Th 5-6 p.m..
