School Psychology Student Assessment

Candidate Assessment System

The UWRF school psychology program is committed to maintaining a curriculum grounded in national  graduate education domains for school psychologists (NASP), state pupil services standards (Wisconsin DPI), and learning outcomes measured by the UW-River Falls Program Improvement Process and Program Audit and Review Process (PIP-PAR). In order to measure student learning outcomes accurately, data are collected through multiple performance-based indicators, collected at multiple points in the program. These data are used to provide candidates with feedback and to make program changes, as needed, ensuring a high quality school psychology educational experience.

Candidate progress data are gathered annually throughout the four-year program. Click on any of the candidate assessment rubrics in the timeline below to view how knowledge or skills are assessed. The assessments aggregated specifically for NASP Program Approval are noted with a NASP designation. Those used for the UWRF PIP-PAR process are noted with a PIP-PAR designation. Those with no designation are used as general assessment tools, from which to gather data about students or to provide strength and growth feedback to students.
