Welcome to Prucha Hall

Prucha is located on the west side of campus and houses 138 students. Nearby, you'll find parking lots E and K, a sand volleyball court, a large lawn, campus trails, the Falcon Center and downtown River Falls. The hall is named after former professor and Registrar Edward J. Prucha. Students one year post-high school graduation by their move in date are eligible to live in Prucha Hall.

Prucha Hall will have two different room types: the traditional double room where two students share one bedroom and the new Prucha Quads where four students will share three internally connected rooms. Prucha Hall is coed by room. There may be a room of two men living next door to a room of two women. Floors that are coed by room will have one women's community bathroom and one men's community bathroom.

Prucha Hall Amenities

All UWRF residence halls include fully furnished rooms, high-speed wireless internet, trash/recycling services, nearby parking lots and free unlimited laundry! All our residence halls are smoke-free facilities, are a short walk to campus and include facilities for students with disabilities.

Single-Gender and Mixed-Gender Quads

Students who are eligible to live in Prucha Hall may choose to live in either a single-gender or mixed-gender quad (based on birth gender). Students must sign up in groups of four to be eligible for a quad placement. For students who wish to be in a mixed-gender quad, roommate pairs in each bedroom must be the same birth gender but the second bedroom in the quad may contain a roommate pair that has an opposite birth gender. All members of these mixed-gender groups will be required to agree to a Mixed Gender Agreement. Students sign up for quads through the room sign up process.

Meal Plan Not Required

Eligibility: Students either two years post high school graduation or 21+ years old by their move in date.

Once students have been assigned to a room within Prucha Hall, they are not required to have a meal plan.

Before the semester begins, meal plan changes can be made in the Housing Portal. Students will have the option to select "No Meal Plan" on the "Meal Plan" page.
After the semester begins, please view the Dining website for more details regarding changes or cancellations.

Check out our detailed information about Prucha's room dimensions and furnishings. A few other important things to keep in mind about the residence halls:

You must keep all supplied items in your room.
If furniture is removed from your room, you'll be charged for the replacement value.
Unfortunately, we aren't able to store personal belongings in hall storage.

Prucha has double rooms (two beds) which are shared by two people.
