The Substance-Free Community is on a first year student-only floor.

2025-2026 Hall Communities

Substance-Free Community: Residents living in this community agree to observe a standard that prohibits the possession or use of alcohol and illegal drugs, as defined by Wisconsin law and university policy, by themselves or their guest(s) in the Substance Free Community. Residents agree that the use of any of these substances by themselves or their guest(s) outside the hall that disrupts the community within the hall is also prohibited.

Pride Community: The Pride community provides students a safe space and the flexibility to accommodate the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) students, Allies and others for whom cultural or identity considerations are needed. The community provides the option for two students to share a room regardless of students' sex, gender identity or gender expression (meaning students can live in the same room with a person of a different assigned sex at birth).

Interested students must indicate in the housing application in the Residence Hall Portal that they are interested in the Pride Community. By selecting "yes" (you are interested), you'll be able to request a roommate of any gender.
