Community Assistant (CA)
Each building pair has an CA, who is an undergraduate student staff member responsible for building community, offering programming and assisting students. CAs are very familiar with a wide variety of campus resources and are a great resource for students.
Eligibility:
- Must have completed one year as a Resident Assistant at UWRF and meet the requirements listed below.
- Other requirements are listed within the position description.

- Candidates will be contacted by Residence Life to set up an interview.
- Interviews will be held in person the week of February 17.
Resident Assistant (RA)
Each floor or wing has an RA, who is an undergraduate student staff member responsible for building community, offering programming and assisting students. RAs are very familiar with a wide variety of campus resources and are a great resource for students.

- Submit an application.
- The application deadline is noon on February 21, 2025.
- Candidates will be contacted by Residence Life to set up an interview before February 21.
- Interviews will be held in person with an Area Coordinator during the week of February 24.
Mail Center Assistant (MCA)
MCAs are residential student staff members who sort, log and distribute mail and packages for students residing on campus. MCAs welcome students to campus during early arrival and work to help answer any questions students may have.
The Hathorn Mail Center is the central location for all incoming mail and packages for students living in the residence halls at UWRF. Residents can pick up packages from the Hathorn Mail Center daily and retrieve envelope sized mail from their residence hall mailbox. Our friendly Mail Center Assistants will gladly help you retrieve any packages or answer questions you have about residence hall mail services.

Hall Hub Assistant (HHA)
HHAs are residential student staff members who sit at the front desks of each residence halls to provide assistance to residents who need to rent equipment, need help contacting a staff member to assist with a lockout and to assist with general questions. HHAs are also there to provide a welcoming atmosphere to the community they are assigned.
HHAs can expect to work within the residence hall they are assigned from 4 -7 p.m. each night (or as they are scheduled).
Eligibility:
- A UWRF student in good standing (not on Residence Hall or other non-academic probation).
- Minimum GPA of a 2.0.
- Ability to work the hours available.

Summer Resident Assistant (SRA)
The SRA position is a live-in, seasonal student staff member in the Department of Residence Life. SRAs are responsible for assisting in the implementation of various Residence Life summer programs, including housing, guest and conferences services, housing-related orientation needs, mail procedures, administrative projects and supporting custodial work.
Hours: 25-40 hours of work per week (includes days, nights and some weekends)
SRAs assist with summer camps and conferences by welcoming and assisting guests, helping with check-ins and check-outs, preparing guest rooms, ensuring safety and security in all residence halls with guests, and other hall operations responsibilities. As a member of the Residence Life staff, SRAs are expected to work with residents, guests and others to create an open, inclusive and supportive residential community. SRAs also serve in an on-call duty rotation.
SRA staff work between 20-28 hours per week (hours will vary), are paid an hourly rate, are provided an air-conditioned room on-campus and receive some meals when Riverside Commons is open. Employment dates are tentatively May 19-Aug. 28, 2025.

Student Custodians
Student Custodians are student employees working in the residence halls on campus to assist permanent staff in providing basic custodial duties during the academic year.
Summer Student Custodians are truly the backbone of Residence Life summer operations. Join our professional team of custodians to prepare campus for the fall semester, assist with summer camp maintenance and more. Housing is provided.
Residence Life Student Custodians are student employees working in the residence halls on campus during the academic year. They assist professional custodians in providing basic custodial duties. This position may require early and mid-morning hours during the academic year.
- Hours: Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (various 2-3 hour shifts available)
- Pay: $12/hour, not to exceed 25 hours/week
Details:
Residence Life Summer Student Custodians are student employees working in the residence halls on campus during the summer. They assist professional custodians in turning over rooms after summer camps and preparing other Residence Halls for the upcoming academic year.
- Hours (not flexible): 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
- Pay: $12/hour at 40 hours/week.
- Housing Provided: Employed students will receive a single room with air conditioning at no cost to them.
