UWRF Message to CVTC Students

I am pleased that the UWRF Residence Life Department has partnered with CVTC to offer this special on-campus living opportunity for students enrolled at CVTC. We look forward to welcoming you to UWRF and our residence hall community! Our goal includes creating residence hall environments where each student can engage socially and academically, experience a sense of belonging and feel supported by staff and peers.

The following information will guide you through the application process and answer several of your questions. However, please reach out to our office if you need assistance or have additional questions. You can email us at reslife@uwrf.edu

Sincerely,

Cara Rubis
Executive Director for Campus Life

Fall Semester: UWRF has set aside a limited number of spaces in a traditional residence hall with double-occupancy rooms. These rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be held until the application deadline of Monday, June 2, 2025 at noon, for the 2025-2026 academic year.

  • You must be enrolled as a full-time student taking 12 or more credits at CVTC.
  • Eligibility to live in the residence halls may be affected by past or current criminal convictions or student conduct violations.
  • To live in UWRF residence halls, you must complete the UWRF online sexual assault prevention training course.

Residence hall room and meal plan rates for each academic year are reviewed by Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents and approved prior to each academic year. Rates for the 2025-2026 academic year will be posted on the Contracts and Rates webpage and meal plan rates will be posted on the Dining webpages once they have been approved.

Once we receive your complete application with contract form and the $500 contract payment, we will verify your eligibility with CVTC. Once eligibility is confirmed, we will assign you to a residence hall room and send notification to your CVTC email address. The room assignment notification will include:

  • Room and hall
  • Name and email of roommate
  • Move in information
  • Fall semester cost and payment procedures
  • Instructions for how to complete the required UWRF online sexual assault prevention training course

All CVTC students living on-campus at UWRF must be on a meal plan contracted through UWRF Dining Services. You will automatically be placed on the 45 Block meal plan. You may choose to change your meal plan to the 14 Weekly, 21 Weekly, 75 Block Plan or All-Access Plan. Change requests must be within the first seven days of the start of the meal plan for each semester.

Students wanting to change meal plans may contact dining@uwrf.edu. Visit the Dining website for more information.

You'll need an ID card to access your residence hall and use your meal plan. After you have been officially approved for on-campus housing at UWRF, your ID card can be obtained one of two ways.

Receiving your ID Card:

  • Visit UWRF: Visit the UWRF Carding Office, located in 160 Davee Library and open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Let the Carding Office staff know that you have been approved to live on campus at UWRF and need to have a UWRF ID Card created for housing and meal plan purposes.
  • Email DoTS: If visiting UWRF in-person is not possible, then you may email dots@uwrf.edu in advance of arriving to UWRF. Attach a personal photo of yourself to the email so that the photo is printed on your UWRF ID card. Indicate in the email that you are a CVTC student approved to live on campus and would like the attached photo to be used on your UWRF ID Card. The Carding Office will coordinate with you on the delivery of your ID Card.

Visit the Carding Office webpage to view frequently asked questions.
