Come Join Us!

Our excellent large and small ensembles are open to all students on campus. In addition to numerous on-campus concerts throughout the year, many ensembles tour locally or internationally. There's a place for you in our ensembles - join us and experience the power of music at UWRF!

Students have opportunities to study the art of music through courses in music education, music theory, music composition, music history, world music and more. If you're interested in learning more about music at UWRF, check out our diverse course offerings, as opportunities abound. We hope to see you in our music ensembles and classes. There truly is something for everyone in our music program!

Academics

Applied Music (private lessons) options exist for UWRF students, including woodwind, brass, percussion, orchestral strings, guitar, keyboard, conducting, composition, improvisation and more. To register for Applied Music lessons, students need a permission number.

  • Music Majors and Minors: Music majors and minors should obtain Applied Music permission numbers from their academic adviser for music.
  • Other Degree Plans: Students pursuing other (non-music) degrees can request a permission number by filling out the form below.
