Bachelor of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Science in Music (Major)

The Bachelor of Arts in music and Bachelor of Science in music provide courses for students to study music and pursue their interests in a wide range of areas, including instrumental performance, vocal performance, conducting, jazz studies, composition and piano performance and pedagogy.  

A minor is not required.


 
Bachelor of Music Education (Major)

Instrumental, Vocal, and General Music, Pre-K-12 Certification and Licensure

Music education is a primary focus within the department. The courses included within our music education degree plans are purposefully designed to ensure that students develop the professional skills and personal attributes needed to be outstanding elementary, middle-school and high-school music educators, as well as top-notch musicians. 

A minor not required.


 
Music (Minor)

The music minor provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop musical skills in a number of areas, including instrumental performance, vocal performance, conducting, jazz studies, composition and piano pedagogy.


 
Musical Theater Minor

Offered by the music program in conjunction with the stage and screen arts (SASA) program.
