Peer Counseling

Reece

Reece Koehler is a post-baccalaureate student in communication sciences and disorders at UWRF, with a B.S. in education from Seton Hall University, where she double majored in integrated early childhood, elementary, and special education. As a former Division I volleyball athlete, she brings empathy, resilience and a strong commitment to supporting others. Her peer counseling approach is both person-centered and strength-based. Reece creates a welcoming space where students feel safe to share, be heard, and explore their experiences. She listens with care, validates emotions and helps students connect with resources that support their well-being and goals.

Sinead

Hello, I'm Sinead O'Meara! I am a sophomore psychology and neuroscience pre-med student at UWRF. I am also a yoga instructor and I love nature, travel and art. I transferred here last spring after spending my first semester of college studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic (in Central Europe). It was challenging for me move to a new country in my first semester of college, so I can sympathize with the transition to a new place, with new people, social stress and a heavy work load. College can feel overwhelming but is also a wonderful growth opportunity, and I would love to listen to and support you in your college journey.

Amber

Hi! My name is Amber Lawrence, and I'm currently a sophomore majoring in psychology. I became a peer counselor because I really value creating a safe, supportive space where students can feel heard and understood. My goal is to help others navigate both the challenges and successes of college life with compassion and encouragement.

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, running, coffee with friends, and shopping! I’m looking forward to meeting other students and being part of the support system here on campus.

Suzette

Hello, my name is Suzette Lai, and I’m very excited to be a part of the new peer counseling program! I am a senior, double-majoring in criminology and psychology, and hope that I can provide some support for other students attending UWRF. Some information about me is that I have studied abroad with UWRF, have interned with Probation and Parole, and my favorite hobbies are drinking coffee, hiking and hanging out with friends. I can’t wait to get to know you!
