Week-long events

Food Drive: Donate non-perishable food items throughout the week in the University Center, Rodli Hall or the Falcon Center. All food will be donated to Freddy's Food Pantry. For questions, please email studentinvolvement@uwrf.edu 

Medallion Hunt: Each day at noon a new clue will be dropped on Student Involvement's social media channels. The first person to find the medallion and return it to the Information Desk in the University Center will receive a Falcon Prize Pack. For questions, please email studentinvolvement@uwrf.edu 


Monday, Sept. 30

Where: University Center Terrace
What: Come enjoy a Homecoming tradition with a bowl of Professor Jake's Bean Soup and kick off Homecoming with a home-cooked meal. This event is free and open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend. Email studentinvolvement@uwrf.edu with questions.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

What: Come cheer on the Falcons as they face UW-Stout!

What: UWRF Campus Recreation has partnered with St. Croix Lanes to offer a discounted bowling night! This event is $5 with your student ID. For more information, email ryan.rudesill@uwrf.edu.

Where: 98 Walnut St., Hudson, Wis.
Cost: $53/person
What: Kick off Homecoming and our sesquicentennial with a UWRF tradition, the annual St. Croix River boat cruise! Join us in Hudson for a fun dinner on the river with alums and friends. The menu will include hamburgers and baked chicken accompanied by salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit and all the trimmings. Cash bar. Register here by Sept 23. This year our item is a wiener dog in honor of one of our beloved campus therapy dogs, Winston. Limit one per person. First come, first served. What: Hailey James is a talented singer/songwriter/performer/recording artist who attends UWRF! She has gained recognition as a five-time award winner from the Midwest Country Music Organization, receiving prestigious titles such as 2023 and 2022 Female Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year.

Recent achievements include playing the Vikings vs. Chiefs Halftime Show at US Bank Stadium on Oct. 8, 2023. Hailey has also opened for country music legends including Carrie Underwood, Diamond Rio, Crystal Gayle, etc. and shared the stage with Dustin Lynch in 2021 at Country Fest in Cadott, WI.

As an active member of the Midwest Country Music Organization, Songtown, and the Minnesota Music Coalition, Hailey continues to expand her musical horizons. Come to the Homecoming football game tailgate to hear Hailey sing for UWRF!

What: Concert featuring UWRF Symphony Band and UWRF Choirs

  • Noon: UWRF choral community rehearsal
  • 1 p.m.: Reception for choir members
  • 1 p.m.: Symphony Band rehearsal
  • 2 p.m.: Homecoming Concert

Choir alumni are invited to sing Hagenberg's "Deep Peace" and Forrest's "The Music of Living" with UWRF choirs at the noon-1 p.m. rehearsal and 2 p.m. concert on Oct. 6. Music and folders will be provided. Email cera.babb@uwrf.edu for more information.

Symphony Band alumni are welcomed to play Holst 2nd Suite, mvt. 4 with the UWRF Symphony Band. Optional rehearsals Wednesday. Oct. 2, 11 a.m. and/or at 1 p.m. on Oct. 6 just prior to concert.
