Reproductive Health Appointments

UWRF students are eligible for appointments with Pierce County Reproductive Health at the clinic near campus. Explore this page to learn more about services offered, appointments and location information.

Where: Pierce County Reproductive Health, 1234 S. Wasson Ln., River Falls (View Map)

What: Reproductive healthcare, including preventative exams, STD exams and treatment, emergency contraception and more.

What’s Covered by Student Health Services?

  • Pap smears/annual preventative exams
  • Bacterial vaginosis, urinary tract and yeast infection screening and treatment
  • Genital wart diagnosis and treatment
  • Sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment (most medications are available same day onsite)
    • Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, Herpes Simplex Virus, Trichomoniasis
  • Pregnancy testing and referral information
  • Emergency contraception and condoms


Family Planning Only Services

Prior to scheduling appointments, students may want to learn more about the Family Planning Only Services (FPOS)

Services provided at a reduced charge or fee with FPOS enrollment include:

  • Birth control pills
  • NuvaRing
  • Deppo-Provera injections
  • Intrauterine devices (IUDs)
  • Nexplanon
  • Emergency contraception and condoms


Appointments

Making an appointment: For health services, you must call ahead to Pierce County Reproductive Health at 715-425-800 to schedule an appointment. Some services, such as condoms, can be obtained on a walk-basis. 

What should I bring? You must present a valid UWRF student ID upon arrival.


 

Students are financially responsible for all services received at the Pierce County Reproductive Health Services that are not covered by Student Health Services. Students should familiarize themselves with which services are and are not covered (see list above).

Taxi service by the River Falls Taxi (715-425-7878) is provided for transportation to and from Pierce County Reproductive Health Services at no charge with presentation of a valid student I.D. 

The Pierce County Health Department Reproductive Health and Immunization Programs strive to provide high quality services to students.  If you have feedback, whether positive or negative, regarding the reproductive health or immunization services that were provided to you, please contact AZ Snyder, Director/Health Officer at 715-273-6755. Complaints will be reviewed promptly and steps to investigate and/or take remedial action as appropriate will be implemented in a timely manner. We also encourage you to respond if you receive a request to complete a survey about services you received.
