Montessori Credential Program (MCP)

Programs: Early Childhood (3–6), Elementary I (6–9),  or Elementary I/II (6–12)
Format: Online during academic year, hybrid during the summer
Duration: +/- two years (varies by level)

Our MACTE-accredited and AMS affiliated MCP offers hands-on training rooted in Montessori pedagogy and child development. Designed for aspiring Montessori guides, this program prepares you for credentialing in your chosen age level.

  • Accredited through MACTE.
  • Practicum with mentor teacher support.
  • Embedded philosophy, observation and practice.
  • Eligible to stack with the MSE+ for master’s degree.

Ideal for those entering the classroom or seeking formal Montessori training!



Master of Science in Education (MSE+)

Grounded in Montessori. Driven by Research.

Format: Fully Online
Duration: 1 Year, 30-32 Credits
For: Montessori credential holders

MSE+ builds on your existing Montessori credential and deepens your educational practice through theory, research and applied learning. Gain a master’s degree while honoring your Montessori experience.

  • Flexible for working educators.
  • Required courses in special education/inclusion, Montessori research and final action research.
  • Innovative and applicable electives such as Building Resilient Schools, Trauma Informed Practice and Typical/Atypical Development.
  • Streamlined admission for MCP alumni.

Perfect for those who already hold a Montessori credential and seek an advanced degree!



Doctorate in Education in Montessori Studies (EdD)

From Practitioner to Scholar

Format: Low-residency Hybrid
Duration: 3–5 Years
For: Leaders, practitioners and educators 

Our EdD prepares you to lead, research and innovate within a Montessori framework. This terminal degree blends scholarship and practice, with a focus on transformation—from practitioner to scholar. Learn more about the Ed.D. program.
