Library Purchase Request
Books and Media:
To request books and media for library purchase use this form.
All requests will be reviewed by the appropriate subject-area librarian. Factors considered in the selection of materials include the cost of the title, number of copies available in the UW System and the availability of funds.
Reserve Materials:
Materials are placed on reserve to support current instructional needs. Faculty and staff need to complete and submit the reserve request form to begin the process and to request purchase of reserve materials.

Journals and Databases:
All requests for journals and databases are reviewed by the Electronic Resources Librarian.
Factors considered in the selection of journals include the electronic availability with archival rights for purchased content, coverage of the requested title in Search@UW and subscribed databases and the availability of funds required to purchase, support and sustain the requested title.
Please note: new subscriptions for journals will be added in electronic form only.
For databases, factors for selection include the database's inclusion in Search@UW, inclusion of full text, coverage of the journal literature and the availability of funds to lease access or purchase, support and sustain the requested database.
