Health Professions

The UW-River Falls Department of Biology offers a Biomedical and Health Science Major in which students earn a degree in biology while preparing for licensure and certifications in various health professions. The Exercise and Sport Science major also offers options for occupational and physical therapy.

The Department of Biology has also developed several Affiliation Agreements with colleges that provide academic credits to students who transfer from UWRF into their programs. In most cases, students study for three years at UW-River Falls, transfer to an affiliated school, and receive a BS from UWRF after one year of study at the affiliated school. Students later earn licensure or certification in a health profession from the affiliated school.
