Requirements for the Agricultural Education Major

  • Academic Progress (At least a 2.75 cumulative GPA including all transfer courses).
  • Content Knowledge Assessment.
  • 2,000 hours of agriculture, food or natural resource-related occupational experience.

  • TED 252 Foundations of Diversity and Equity in Education (d) 3 cr.
  • TED 422 Secondary School & Content Area Reading 3 cr.
  • TED 440 Techniques in Agriculture 3 cr.

Agricultural Education Major

CAFES Foundation Requirements: 12 cr.

  • AGEC 101 Economics and Management in Ag 3 cr.
  • ANSC 111 Introduction to Animal Science 3 cr.
  • FDSC 110 Science of Food 3 cr.
  • PLSC 161 Introduction to Plant Science 3 cr.

Major Requirements: 40-43 cr. hrs.
