A maximum of three credits can be used as electives in your major. If you apply for more than three credits, the additional credits are applied to your general electives. See Internship Credit.

Internship opportunities for SBE students can be found in many places. You can find internships by searching the UWRF job recruitment system Handshake, the career pages of company websites, or by utilizing job search engines such as Indeed.com, Glassdoor.com, or LinkedIn. Professional networking can also lead to internship opportunities, so talk with your professors, family friends, or reach out to professionals in your field. To find out if your current job can be converted to an internship, please speak with Associate Dean Dawn Hukai.   

Most internship descriptions that list business administration as a preferred major will also consider economics majors because economics is a broad field. 

Yes it can, if there are additional duties that can be added to the job so that it can be considered a learning experience in a professional setting.

You must work a minimum of 40 hours to earn one credit. See Internship Credit.

An intern must submit a progress report after 40 hours of work, and for every 40 hours completed thereafter.

Academic internships for credit must be approved and completed in the current semester, not a previous semester.
