Fall Semester: Early Arrival Requests

Future Move In Dates: TBD

Students Who Need to Arrive Early

If you need to arrive prior to the standard move in dates, you must be pre-approved to move into your residence hall early. Follow the instructions to ensure a timely and complete request.

Students not required to submit a request to arrive early: Various UWRF departments will submit early arrival lists for certain groups of students. Please do not submit a request in the Housing Portal if you are in one of the following categories:

  • A student worker arriving early for training
  • A student athlete arriving early for sports practices
  • An international student arriving for orientation on August 27 or later
  • A Move Crew volunteer
  • A Jump Start program participant

What you can do: Check with your supervisor, coach or other department contact to verify that you're on the list they'll be submitting to Residence Life. Ask them what your arrival date will be and whether the cost will be paid by you or the department. $22 per night will be added to your eSIS account if your department will not be paying the cost of your early arrival housing.

  • Check In: You will need to check in between noon and 4 p.m. or between 6 and 8 p.m. on your approved check-in day. These are the only times we have staff available to check in students.
