Steps to Enrollment
Step 1: Apply for Admission
Begin your journey by completing the application for admission to UW-River Falls. Visit our UWRF admissions website to learn more about applying.
Step 2: Submit your transcripts and ACT/SAT scores to UWRF
Provide your high school transcripts and standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) as part of your UWRF application. These documents are essential for evaluating your academic readiness and eligibility for admission.
Step 3: Contact an Education Service Officer (ESO) to explore your benefits and ask questions about your state or federal military benefits
Service members need to check with an Education Services Officer (ESO) or counselor for the specifics of FTA. The FTA program is a financial assistance program for voluntary off-duty education programs to support a soldier’s personal or professional development goals. The programs pay $250 per credit up to a max of $4000 per fiscal year. Each branch of the military has their own application process. All members MUST speak with their (ESO) or counselor within their military service prior to enrolling. TA is available for courses that are offered in the classroom or by distance learning and are part of an approved academic degree or certificate program. The courses must be offered by schools that are part of the DOD Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (DOD MOU) and are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The service branch will pay the approved TA amount directly to the school. TA is available to active duty, National Guard and Reserve servicemembers.
