Program Assessment Results

The UWRF school psychology program follows the university internal program assessment process for Program Audit and Review (PAR) and Program Improvement Process (PIP). Additionally, as a nationally accredited program through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP; Full Accreditation through January 2028), the program is reviewed periodically through an external process. The following schedule outlines when these processes have occurred or will occur:

  • 2024-25 None
  • 2025-26 Program Improvement Process (PIP) and Program Audit/Review (PAR)
  • 2026-27 NASP
  • 2027-28 None
  • 2028-29 Program Improvement Process (PIP) only

In March 2020, the program submitted materials for full program re-accreditation by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and a reviewer site visit was completed in September 2020. Based on the results of the materials submission and the site visit, NASP granted FULL PROGRAM ACCREDITATION to UWRF School Psychology in January 2021. That accreditation is in effect until at least January 2028, at which point the program will submit for accreditation again. For more information and related data about the UWRF program, see NASP's Program Annual Report

Additionally, in October 2018, the program's assessment plans and assessment reports for both degrees were submitted to the university for review. The reports include an aggregation of multiple sources of data for both degrees. Overall, the data shows program graduates and post-graduates are meeting expected learning outcomes successfully. Action Step Plans are included in both assessment results reports as a means to continue program progress and growth goals.
