Details: This course is designed to focus on methods for motivating and engaging the mathematics learner. A focus will be on techniques for classroom set up, building community, techniques for managing the classroom, routines and protocols, setting high expectations for learning, and creating meaningful and relevant mathematics lessons that connect to students' lives and interests. Designing and teaching motivating and engaging math lessons in a practicum experience will bridge practice with theory. Field Experience required (25 hours). Prerequisites: This course is a portion of the high school math methods block. Concurrent enrollment in Math 305, TED 464, and TED 467. Admission to Teacher Ed or EPP admission Tier II. (Sp)
