Details: Students will learn to support literacy development in speaking, listening, reading and writing for the 6-9 year old in a Montessori environment. Students will learn to assess children's learning using a developmental continuum and to use differentiated instruction and a balanced literacy program to support the learner's reading, spoken and written communication skills as well as critical thinking. Prerequisite: MONT 500, or permission of instructor.
