| Details: This course will review the major topics of an Advanced Placement statistics course as they relate to "real-world" applications. It will provide a review of statistical concepts and methods. Students will be provided a survey of resources, including statistical data sets. The course will use a laboratory/experimental approach to statistical instruction and learning. Technology will be used not only as a computational assistant, but also as a learning tool. The course will provide a variety of rich statistical tasks and projects for instruction and learning. Content and pedagogy will be balanced. The approach is designed for teachers with an emphasis on individual and small group tasks, as well as the use of technology. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. (As offered) |
