Details: This course is a certificate requirement of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. It is designed to prepare prospective speech-language pathologists for work in the public schools. Attention will be directed toward organization of speech-language programs in the schools and federal and state legislation relating to such programming. Emphasis will be placed on 1) Response to Intervention (RTI), 2) Multi-disciplinary team evaluation, 3) Individualized Education Plan development, 4) Service delivery models, and 5) Due process. |
