| Details: This course will help develop the knowledge of elementary teachers regarding the importance and significance of agriculture. Considerable emphasis will be placed on obtaining firsthand knowledge of the agricultural industry to include not only agricultural production, but the areas of processing, distribution, marketing and the new areas such as sustainable agriculture and aquaculture. The teacher will also become familiar with the materials/resources available for teaching agricultural concepts in the elementary school classroom. |
