| Details: This first course in the STEMteach initial certification pathway is designed for students to develop skills in writing 5E lesson plans grounded, aligning assessments with objectives, and implementing appropriate questioning strategies. This course will provide students an opportunity to gain teaching experience through field experiences in elementary classrooms and local summer school camps and programs. Students develop confidence in teaching highly structured inquiry-based STEM lessons while gaining experience in multiple settings. This course will also involve a sustainability component, thinking about sustainability practices in STEM and integrating them into STEM education. The course is extremely fast-paced and time-intensive. |
