Details: This course examines emergent communicative forms related to media technologies and their influence on society. As digital media continue to influence our personal, professional, and political lives, students will engage in critical inquiries toward the transformative influence of new media technologies on our social, political, and cultural practices. Our class will analyze the evolution of media landscapes and the means by which they continue to shape communities, redefine cultural customs, and change our social structures as a result of the innovative forms of communication, interaction, and engagement they present.
