Music 370 Sound Design & Composition
Details: This course provides students with applied and practical experience in the field of sound design and music composition. This course examines 20th and 21st Century Hollywood cinematic sound design and composition techniques and applies them to film, television, and other media. Students will learn audio/music production for visual media, digital audio workstations, recording, sampling, synchronization, mixing and mastering, composition, orchestration, and sound effect design and implementation. The class provides opportunities to examine and compose film music representing a diverse range of world cultures. This course is co-listed with Stage and Screen Arts SASA 370. Prerequisites: none.
