Details: This course is a study of the content appropriate for elementary and middle school health and physical activity with an emphasis on standard-based lesson planning, teaching and assessment in health and physical education. Emphasis with also be placed on ensuring a healthy environment for students including modeling healthy behaviors, providing social-emotional health, physical activity and healthy habits. Students will study the value of health and physical education in elementary and middle school settings and advocate for healthy school environments for their students. Prerequisites: Tier I admission and TED 211 OR TED 250. (F,Sp) |
