Details: This course is an introduction to using and presenting mathematical concepts and data typically encountered in journalistic work (such as averages and percentage change, polls and surveys, the stock market, media metrics and the U.S. census), as well an exploration of basic concepts of data journalism (analysis, visualization and story telling). Prerequisite: C or better in JOUR 110, or consent of instructor. (As offered)
