Details: This course introduces students to basic statistical procedures for organizing, describing and evaluating data. We explore the logic and implementation of various descriptive and inferential statistical techniques (e.g., central tendency, dispersion, z-tests, t-tests, Pearson correlation, ANOVA). This course is designed to provide you with the basic statistical concepts and skills necessary for laboratory research, survey work and to provide adequate quantitative background for understanding psychological literature. Prerequisite: WPT Math Formula score of 40+, ACT Math score of 20+ or Math 30 or a higher level math class. Course meets the Mathematics requirement in the General Education program. (F, Sp, SS, W)
